Exhibited with Partial Shade

Exhibited in Huntsville, Texas. The show took place within the perimeter of Club Lake, a small man-made body of water about an hour outside of Houston. Participating artists were tasked with creating a work that would engage directly with the water, floating on or just below the surface, sitting on the sandy bottom, in canoes or on the dock. The works are negotiating balance, buoyancy, displacement, distance, and wetness. How does the viewing experience change when the floor of the gallery is permeable? Viewers are invited to experience the show from the dock, or they may swim, float, or canoe out to view the work in the water.
